Warmest Greetings and Blessings to all our readers.
Firstly, my heartiest congratulations to -

-
all teachers,
students and parents of SAS for your diligence and co- operation
in producing outstanding academic results in 2008 – PSR (97.5%
with 61 “5A’s”); PMB (98.59% with 23 students achieving 10
aggregate and below) and GCE (92.91% with 19 students obtaining
aggregate 10 and below). Well done SAS! Continue to uphold the
name of SAS with pride and joy in all academics and CCAs.
-
the beloved nation
of Brunei Darussalam on achieving 25 years of Independence under
the caring and visionary leadership of His Majesty The Sultan
and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. As a nation, we have
matured and progressed in remarkable ways. We have a strong and
thriving economy, a good infrastructure, a good health system, a
strong close bilateral and multilateral ties with many regional
and international nations of the world and a strong educational
system producing many intellectuals in various disciplines
leading to the birth of SPN 21. We are proud to be citizens of
this beloved nation as we continue to witness the remarkable
changes and growth of Brunei as an independent nation. We
therefore pray for God’s continued blessings and peace over
Brunei Darussalam.
Secondly, with the successful implementation of SPN 21 at all levels
this year – Yr 1 (LP), Yr 4 (UP) and Yr 7 & 8 (Sec), learning has
become a joy as the new SPN21 curriculum has taken boredom out of
the school life. The inclusion of subjects such as Drama and Music
at the Primary levels and CCAs at all levels have made the teaching
and learning process fun and joyful for the students, especially at
the Primary levels. For the first time, CCAs have now been tabled
(once weekly) into our timetables. Students are enjoying their CCAs
and come enthusiastically in their PE attire each week to join in
the activities. As a school, we continue to stress on the importance
of CCAs to the students. CCAs are made compulsory to all students
and they are asked to join in one co-curricular activity from a
selection of four groupings offered - Art and Culture; Religion;
Sports and Games; Clubs or Uniform groups. We are proud that the
students have responded positively (as seen in the numerous
colourful pictures taken of the activities in SAS). We believe we
are helping the nation of Brunei to produce healthy bodies and sound
minds for the children of Brunei.
Lastly, my sincere thanks and appreciation to Cikgu Chong Ah Fok,
Mrs Gladys Yee, Mrs Helen Kang and Mdm Stella Low and your team
members for their diligence in producing a superb pictorial magazine
for SAS. I am thankful for your dedication and patience in meeting
and overcoming the many challenges and deadlines in the midst of
your heavy teaching responsibilities. Thank you TEAM!
Let
us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good
deeds.
With God’s richest blessings,
Ms
